Gyoza no Ossho

It is the Chinese restaurant established in Kyoto. The popular standard menu is the juicy gyoza. It will cost extra charge if you dine but they also do take out, the visitors can stop by after coming back from sightseeing and have it at hotels.

Depends on the prefectures, the costs of the menus is different, and  Tokyo has more variation of menus. Although, each shops have different characteristic, maybe you will discover something new everytime you go!

Gyu-tan Negishi

Gyu-tan(beef tongue) restaurant is rare  in Japan. Gyu-tan is used to be a food for men, but they want to share more to others, they started  selling  the set of Gyu-tan, with wheat rice, and tale soup.  That is the birth of the restaurant. The standard menu is”Negishi set” (1380yen). There is 5 thin Gyu-tan on the plate, that has firm and chewy texture, with free refills of wheat rice, hot tale soup, and dashi tororo. For people who can`t eat Gyu-tan, there are also galbi set or sets that provides chicken and pork. The soft Gyu-tan is so delicious that you want to have the rice more.

Standing Sushi Restaurant　Uogashi Nihonichi

It is Edo-mae sushi restaurant, all the ingredients they are using are all delivered directly from Tsukiji fish market. You can enjoy having fresh fish sushi for only 75 yen per piece. The recommend dish is “Shunnigiri Lunch Set”(800yen), that is only available in lunch time. It is a valuable set with signature fishes such as tuna, and few pieces of seasonal fishes, and egg, 9 pieces altogether.

Tendon　Tenya

It is a rice bowl restaurant, they  started from Tendon. They use the shrimp they grew in mangrove, and they are also particular about the oil they use.

First, please try,”Tendon (Namimori=M)”（500yen) when you come here. This is the popular signature menu since they established this store. There are 5 toppings: shrimp, squid, whiting, pumpkin, green pea, full of vegetables and seafoods. Your stomatch will be full even it is Medium size. It also provide with miso soup. If the shop is crowded,  there is  take out.

Nakau

It is a restaurant that provides Japanese gyu-don, soba,  and udon. Compare to other gyudon restaurants, this Nakau has mild taste with soup stock taste. The meat will gives you a stamina, so it is perfect for tired stomatch. “Japanese Gyudon (namimori=M) “, (350yen) has a topping of white spring onion, that sweetness and smell of white green onion makes the bowl more rich. Not only special sauce, putting the beef tallow on the top will makes the taste more stronger with further sweetness in the same time, and  the individual flavors spread into the mouth.
