Japan Fisherman`s Festival 2018

“Japan Fisherman`s Festival” will hold the 4th festival on end of November in Hibiya park, Tokyo. At here, the visitors can enjoy a wide varieties of seafood gathered from all over Japan.

As some of you know, we know that fish have a lot of protein and has the function of excreting unnecessary salt in the body and prevents adult diseases such as hypertension. Also, there is taurine, calcium, EPA, and DHA that helps the functions of the brain to increase the memory and learning ability. Moreover, as a result of epidemiological survey, the National Cancer Research Center and the team of Keio University summarized that to have blue fish will decrease half of the incidence of depression. Therefore, it is important to eat fish in our lives.

The community started this project because they want locals to have more interest in Japan fish food culture. For many years, Japan is known as “fish country", a wide varieties of fish are acquired by region and season because Japan was surrounded by the ocean. Fish is one of the local food in Japan we have eaten for long period of time, and it is the dish that always appears in our usual meals. Nowadays, the "Japan fish culture" is spreads to the world, matches well with health consciousness, and the consumption of fishes is rising worldwide.

However, the consumption of fishes eaten in Japan used to be the highest of all other world, but it is getting lower these days. To recognize the wonderfulness and importance of the fish food culture once again is also their hope to do this event!

There is no admission fee. It is perfect for those who loves to eat, love seafood, a foreigners who want to taste and feel Japan fish culture etc.! Please feel free to participate!
