SOU・SOU KYOTO AOYAMA
"SOU · SOU" is a brand of Kyoto which produces textile design expressing Japanese seasons and pop atmosphere.
Among them, "SOU · SOU Tabi" is the only brand in the world that is particular about Made in Japan and using Japan designs.
SOU・SOU Jikatabi is mainly made at “Takasago Industry.”
Jikatabi are traditional Japanese footwear, but many of them are produced abroad.
“SOU・SOU” had a strong feeling that, “We want to make real Made in Japan Tabi”, because of this reason “SOU・SOU” started collaborating with Takasago Industry, a subsurface Jikatabi factory founded in 1969 in Takasago, Hyogo Prefecture.
The pop SOU・SOU original fabric design is made by the craftworkers in Kyoto and gently hand printing it.
When its completed, the position of the design is decided for each part is calculated so that the design will appear properly in the part you want to show.
The Jikatabi handled here at “SOU · SOU KYOTO Aoyama shop” have a varieties of patterns; starting with the standard designs, the Lace-up type can be exercised,
types that fasten with velcro rather than hooks, those with rounded toes and more.
It is characterized by abundant variations, such as design with bore is limited in winter.
The “Chufu-jikatabi” was obtained the “Excellent Kyoto design”, ”The Wonder 500™”, and double awards of “COOL JAPAN Award・France Award.” It is suitable for casual clothing and can be worn in sneaker sense of everyday use.
“Takasago Tabi Iroha-soko”, the Jikatabi using SOU・SOU original sole, the design is given to the back of the shoes that you can not see usually. Hiragana is spread all over the shoes, and the footprints become cute on rainy and snowy days.
Marugo Co., Ltd. the footwear brand who suggested,”Sewing type Jikatabi” which processed human cart tires and sewed on Tabi in 1917, they have revived domestic production for the first time in 40 years! Now, they are producing with SOU · SOU Jikatabi.
The material which absorbs the shock developed in the United States "PORON" was used for the insole, to make "5 crotch tied Tabi" that reduced burden on feet.
About the sizes, the Moonster Co., Ltd. Chufu-Jikatabi is made in 22-28cm, and others made in 22-29cm. It is available in increments of 1 cm.
SOU・SOU Jikatabi can enjoy in either Western or Japanese style.
If you unhook and fold back the fabric and show the lining, it is more cuter to wear it! How about pairing the optional EVA insole sold separately, if you want more cushioning properties, or when you want to match the sizes!
