The National Museum of Western Art
The National Museum of Western Art, is the only national art museum specialized in European art. At the permanent exhibition, western art works of the late medieval to early 20th century are on display. The core of the exhibition is French art, for example the paintings of the Impressionists and sculptures of Rodin.
"The Gates of Hell," which is an art work of the sculptor Auguste Rodin whom succeeded from the 19th to 20th century, is on display at the forecourt of the art museum. In this over five meters high bronze statue, various masterpieces of Rodin, such as "The Thinker," are incorporated. The art museum holds nearly five special exhibitions a year, so every time you visit, you will be able to meet new pieces of art.
Compared to other art museums, they provide a rich variety of family-targeted services, so everyone from adults to children can enjoyably come in contact with art works.
