Koishikawa Kintaro Ame

Kintaro, also named Sakata Kintoki, is a hero in traditional Japanese legend. Kintaro is a child having superhuman strength in the folktales. Kintaro Candy is a traditional Japanese candy featuring Kintaro face. Nowadays, there are different types of Kintaro featuring different cartoon characters. There is a traditional Kintaro Candy store in Yanesen near Netsu Shrine from Meiji era. All of the candies are handmade. Visitors who are in Yanesen are highly recommended to visit this Koishikawa Kintaro Ame.
