Ueno Zoo

Ueno Zoo is Japan's first-built historic government-managed zoo. It lines in popularity with the Asahiyama Zoo of Hokkaido. Though it is located in the city center, the zoo attains the nature and landscape that matches the animals as much as possible. It is famous as the first zoo in Japan to raise giant pandas, and on holidays it is crowded with people who have come to see them.
