Recommended App For Japan Transportation
09/01/2016
Many tourists will use public transportation to get around when they travel in Japan.
The rail system in Japan is extremely difficult and always a problem for the travelers.
In fact, it is also a problem for the locals. Of course, you can check the GOOGLE MAP
when you connect to Internet.
But, what will you do if you cannot connect to Internet?
To solve this terrible problem, today I am going to introduce some useful offline mobile apps.
Let’s take a look!
Transfer App " Tokyo Subway Navigation for Tourists "
Tokyo Subway Navigation for Tourists is an app for Tokyo Metro transfer information.
It is available in English, Chinese(Traditional and Simplified), Korean, Thai and Japanese.
You can select your location and destination on the route map and the route will appear.
To compare with other transportation app, Tokyo Subway Navigation for Tourists is user-friendly.
You can also search the major spots (Search by Landmark, Park, Shinjuku Gyoen).
I also downloaded this app! Let's us take a look!
You can select the language in setting(On the top right corner).
You select the station directly on the map
The app will show you the recommended route so it is very convenient.
What is more, the nearest station will be shown if you click on the station
You can also search by Landmark.
For example, the nearest station “Oshiage” will be shown if you click on “Skytree”
The only problem of this app is that only transfer information for the Tokyo Metro is available.
However, it is still a convenient app for the tourists.
People who are not familiar with the Japan rail, or want to find the nearest station from the hotel,
or use the Japan rail pass are highly recommended to use the apps.
It is the most convenient app for the tourist using the “Tokyo Subway Ticket”.
Especially for the foreign tourists - Unlimited ride " Tokyo Subway Ticket "
Tokyo Subway Ticket is an Tokyo Metro Pass for the foreign tourists in Japan.
There are three type of tickets including :
Tokyo Subway 24-hour Ticket (800 yen)
Tokyo Subway 48-hour Ticket (1200 yen)
and Tokyo Subway 72-hour Ticket (1500 yen)
You can go everywhere riding on all Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway lines by this pass.
You can find out the route and transportation fees by using Tokyo Subway Navigation for Tourists.
You can buy Tokyo Subway Ticket in Airport or Big Camera.
Although these apps are user-friendly, some people are bad with directions (Me!).
If you are not sure the route, it is highly recommended to ask for help.
