The long-established restaurant Izuei, founded over 200 years ago, is located in Ueno, Tokyo. Izuei started off as a small spitchcocked eel shop in the middle of the Edo period, and is now an eel specialty restaurant with several branches. At Izuei they use a secret cooking method, prohibited to be taken out of its premises, and you can enjoy the same tastes as that of the Edo period. It is the spirit of this long-established restaurant with a history of over 200 years.
