Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden
Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is located at 10 minutes walk from South Exit of Shinjuku Station.
IThe garden is divided into few sections. The Japanese Traditional Garden, French Formal Garden, and English Landscape Garden, and is an oasis in the midst of metropolitan city providing a sanctuary for visitors. The garden has 10,000 trees, displaying nature’s transitional expressions over different seasons.
The garden transforms into a cherry blossom viewing attraction, teeming with viewers once 1,300 cherry trees bloom in the Spring.
Chrysanthemums, also the Imeprial Seal of Japan, have been grown here since 1904, and they are presented at annual exhibition, which is a very popular event. The all glass greenhouse accommodates about 500 varieties of plants including the plants of special interests such as endangered species.
Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden offers attractive opportunity for the visitors to experience various aspects of nature within close surroundings.
