「TOKYO DANCE MUSIC EVENT」 Lets Know More About Japanese Individual Dance Music!!

「TOKYO DANCE MUSIC EVENT」is a first international conference & event held in Tokyo, which is focus on dance/music since 2016. A lot of music festivals/events founders and directors had participated to this event, and Lauren Rose Kocher from Sony Music Entertainment served as Executive Committee Chairperson.
People who are involving in music also can visit here to spread out Japan individual dance/music out of world!
As some of you know, “Winter Music Conference” in Miami U.S.A and “Amsterdam Dance Event” in Netherland are the famous dance/music international conference & event. However, as Tokyo Olympic will be take place on 2020, “TOKYO DANCE MUSIC EVENT” is the event where can spread out the Japanese individual dance music from Japan to the world.
This year, “TOKYO DANCE MUSIC EVENT” will be held for 3 days from end of November in Shibuya! Same as last year, it divided into 3 different parts.
First, let me introduce to you how they constitute each parts.
①「Conference」＝Business conference from various industries, such as music, marketing, art and technology etc.
②「Sessions」＝Work shop and session from famous artists for music composers.
③「Live」＝Music events will being held in clubs and bars around Shibuya area performed by various of artists in and out of Japan
Now you know “TOKYO DANCE MUSIC EVENT（TDME)” is oraganized in to 3 parts from here. However, for those who do not still understand the concept of this event, lets have further look!
What is Conference?
You can hear the stories from a wide various people. The founder/director of popular music festivals and events, creators and promoters etc.You can hear the opinions from various perspectives; how the values of music are different between Japanese and music overseas, how we want to turn Japanese individual music to business and connect Japanese music to the world. Last year, NINA KRAVIZ, ZEEBRA, ☆TAKU TAKAHASHI, UKAWA NAOHIRO etc. had participated this event.
Session
At here, you can see how the artists create their own music. For those who loves music, I feel that this session is interesting parts to see. It is like a experience-oriented class, so you can hear the stories from a wide varieties of artists how they composed each music. I feel that this is good place to learn and discover more new ideas about music from them!
Live
At last is, "Live." The concert will be held in 3 places near Shibuya area by DJ artists.
Last year artists was SATOSHI OTSUKI, ETC!ETC!, DJ MOE, SHINICHI OSAWA etc. We are not sure yet who will be playing this year and where it will be held till last minute. For further information, please see the website →http://tdme.com/en/
People who were already listed on the website are only parts of people who will be participating. They will update for more artists who are participating in this events!! Last year, about 4000 people came to “TOKYO DANCE MUSIC EVENT.” This year will be also be one of the big event for music fans!
