Roppongi Hills
Roppongi Hills is a cultural complex facility located in Roppongi. It opened in 2003, aiming to create a new cultural city-center in Tokyo. Within the Mori Tower, which is the symbolic skyscraper of Roppongi Hills, there is the "Mori Art Museum" (that promotes art), "Academyhills" (where the world's intelligence gather) and "Roppongi Hills Club".
The Mori Tower provides a high quality communication space to produce new ideas. Also, there is a commercial facility which has over 200 stores and restaurants, a movie theater and a housing complex. Facilities with various purposes form Roppongi Hills, and they enable the unity of life and culture. The facilities of Roppongi Hills itself have cultural value.
Its buildings are designed by international architects and public art works by artists both inside and outside Japan are actively gathered. Simultaneously, the Japanese-style garden "Mohri Garden" and the roof garden were made inside, and a collaboration of city culture and nature was implemented.
