Sunshine Aquarium
SunShine Aquarium is a very popular destination in Ikebukuro.
It is located on the 10th and 11th floor of SunShine City building, and the newly refurbished facility was reopened in 2011 with the concept of “Oasis in the Air”.
The highlight of the aquarium is a donut shaped tank for seals built on 230cm high in the outdoor garden. When you look up at the seals in the tank, they appear as if they are flying in the sky.
Whenever you visit the aquarium, you will never be shorten of entertainments as there are events such as diver’s performance in the large pool, seal shows, and penguins feeding time.
The place is filled with many elements for adults as well as children, for instance, a sensory experience at jellyfish tunnel.
