SEIBU Department Store

The SEIBU Department Store is one of the famous department stores in  Japan. The main store is located in Ikebukuro, directly connected from the station.
It has top brands to general items and goods, restaurants, the famous Depa-Chika (basement food court) in one building,  it will fulfill visitors' various demands.
At its renewal in 2015, a new restaurant and event space was opened on the rooftop garden. The garden is designed to relax the visitors with the water lily pond inspired by Caude Monet’s painting. Although, the open grass space and flower plants with music and lighting effect also matches  the atmosphere.
The depa-chika basement food court in the main SEIBU store in Ikebukuro is the largest food space in Japan with 1.5 times the size of Tokyo Dome stadium that accommodates about 230 stores. Walking around the basement food court is enough to enjoy a wide variety of food.
Ikebukuro station is the place where about 2.6 million people pass by, the evening time at depa-chika in SEIBU store is full with people who buy their dinner and sweets to take home. The depa-chika in the evenings are always lively and energetic. Main SEIBU store in Ikebukuro also has a separate building with MUJI brand and book store. MUJI Ikebukuro store is the second largest store in Tokyo selling every item with their own brand.
