Samurai Hostel

"Samurai Hostel Ikebukuro" is the hostel made by the theme of "Samurai×Art." For the exterior, they are using Japanese tiles roof to express the Japanese traditional house. When you enter, the real armor is displayed at the entrance and able to see the wall painting drawn by artists. You may feel like fall into a different world. The hostel is providing common space and shared kitchen. The regardless of multi-nationality or Japanese, the hostel are providing the space for visitors to find new things and meet new people from all over the world.

There are 4 different types of rooms: bunk bed(mix dormitory), single(mix dormitory), private twin room and private family type room. Except for private family type room, it is all shared toilet and bathroom. For the private twin, it is for 2 person and 3 different design rooms. The visitors can see the works created by Art University students drawn by hands with the theme of "Pine", Mt.Fuji" and "Ninjya." The private family type on the 4th floor is maximum of 4 people(there is no elevator to go to 4th floor. Please note that need to use stairs instead). The cherry blossom and gold color interior is different to other rooms, it is made it more elegant. The hostel provides free Wi-fi, bath towels, hair dryer, body soap and shampoo. There is no other amenity etc.There are convenience store and coin laundry less than 5 min walk, and supermarket within 10 min. The hostel is little far from Ikebukuro station, but there are a lot of facilities around there and easy for transportation. Moreover, because you can experience sleeping with "Futon" that can not be seen in the city center hotels, it might be good to try staying in a place different from usual.
