Yoyogi Park
Yoyogi Park was constructed at the remained site of Tokyo Olympic athletes' dormitories in October 1967. Is the 5th largest park of all the metropolitan parks in the Tokyo's 23 wards, and the park is commonly known as the urban oasis surrounded by forests and water among citizens of Tokyo.
The park is divided into Area A, which is the forest park, and Area B, that prepares the athletic field and outdoor stage etc. The grassland square located in the center of the park is full of green surrounded by a deep forest, and it creates with trees of neighboring Meiji-jingu.
As for facilities, there are cycling fields, bird sanctuarys, outdoor stages, event squares, an athletic field, a soccer field, basketball courts, and more, you can enjoy sports in the environment near the nature.
As there are rose gardens and row of Japanese zelkova trees. This spot is the most suitable place if you want to take a rest during your sightseeing. Many citizens in Tokyo visit this park for cherry-blossom viewing and beautiful autumn leaves in spring and fall.
