Denpoin Dori
Denpoin Dori is a shopping street like Nakamise Dori.
The name came from Denpoin temple, which stands on one side of the street. The street that leads 200m is lined with stores selling high quality craftsmanships such as edo-kiriko, kanzashi hair accessory, tenugui cloth, nama-yuba (a piece of been curd), and dango. This location is perfect place to look for gifts to take home.
There are also okonomiyaki pancake, monja yaki and soba, which are the Japanese traditional cuisines still carries the traditional flavour from the past, and visitors can enjoy this while relaxing in the shops.
The street itself is decorated with Edo ornaments such as hansho bell, tensui-oke rain water collection, fire service hi-no-mi-yagura to look out for fires in town, and a sneaky nezumi kozo character. Some shops have drawing of Edo on their shutter gates, allowing visitors to enjoy even shops are closed.
