Hana Yashiki

Asakusa Hanayashiki is the oldest amusement park in Japan.
It opened its gate in 1853, and reopened again after its closure in 1947. The area is 5800 ㎡ with Japan’s older roller coaster, which is also made in Japan. You can reach the there by taking 5 min walk from Asakusa station. The opening hours are from 10:00 to 18:00,  and open everyday.
When it first opened, there was also a botanic garden, which attracted mainly upper class people, but as it gradually expanded to include animals and fair rides, more people from wide social backgrounds came to visit. In the beginning of 20th century, the park was one of the biggest zoo in Japan, but it was forced to close during the second world war.
Now, the park has many attractions along with many events with characters from the owner company Namco games. The park is also equipped with barbecue garden, professional wresting ring, and a be-a-ninja room.
